LCO’s journey towards starting an Online Platform

Initially, the Founder Hitesh Choudhary hosted educational videos on YouTube and the response to his educational videos were great but hosting videos on YouTube has its own challenges like

  • It would be incredibly overwhelming to have too many playlists with hundreds of videos in each playlist.

  • YouTube is not designed for structured education.

  • There is no information regarding channel subscribers on YouTube. Hence building a sales funnel is not feasible.

  • It's easy to download and pirate videos from YouTube.

  • Eventually, it would be difficult to sell courses or monetise course content on YouTube.

Considering all these challenges, Hitesh realized that he can’t build a serious business with YouTube. He started looking for a robust and secure Learning Management System(LMS) to start his own online academy and sell courses.

Although Hitesh could use an open source LMS platform to start with, there were numerous technical difficulties, costs, and it was time consuming.
